What are the advantages of using recycled inkjet cartridges?

The first answer is cost. A customer using recycled inkjet cartridges can save from 20 to 40 on supply costs by using recycled cartridges. The second reason to use recycled cartridges is that it's good for the environment. The commercially offered "do-it-yourself" refill kits actually create more waste than if you were to throw the cartridge away.

How many pages will my recycled cartridge print?

The amount of ink in a cartridge along with other printing factors determines how many pages a cartridge will print. Each OEM cartridge comes with a specific amount of ink when new -- that's the same amount of ink we use when we recycle. Our cartridges are carefully weighed to be sure they meet the OEM weight specifications.

Do cartridges "leak" when recycled?

Many cartridges are carefully pressurized and must be handled properly to avoid leaking. Inkjet Renew recycled cartridges are all carefully sealed in a vapor barrier bag and checked for leaks before shipping to avoid leaks during shipping or prior to use.

Why should I have my cartridges refilled and remanufactured rather than buy a new one?

Firstly, because refilling costs you half the price of a new cartridge, sometimes even up to 60 % less. This means cheaper printing. Secondly, you do your bit to save the environment. It takes hundreds of years for an empty cartridge to decompose at landfill. Thirdly, it is safe: you get your money back if you are not happy with the quality.

How should I handle an ink jet cartridge in order to maximize its life cycle?

--Follow the printer manufacturer's user instructions.

--When ink shows signs of running out, bring the cartridge in to be refilled as soon as possible.

--Don't let the ink to dry up in the cartridge or print with an empty cartridge as this can damage the printhead.

--If there was a protecting clip or tape in the cartridge when you bought it, put it back. Don't use any other tapes.

--If you cannot bring the cartridge to be refilled right away, put it back in its case, wrap it in a plastic bag or cling film and store away from direct heat. Excessive heat can cause a leakage.
